Unsolved Mystery

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning
has a slightly separated shoulder which is expected to keep him out at least a month, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

While The Giants continue to say Manning is day-to-day, a source who has spoken with Manning and is familiar with the team doctors' diagnosis told the Daily News that Manning was initially told by Dr. Russell Warren, the team physician, that his recovery time would be 3-4 weeks.

Analysis: I just don't see Eli playing on Sunday. The Giants were expected to have a lost season anyway,

and with Osi and Brandon Jacobs out there is little reason to push Manning for an early return that could wind up causing a much worse injury.
